A little about me
Updated: Apr 29, 2025

I'm a wife, mother, daughter, sister, neighbor, teacher, student, author, grandma, volunteer, advocate, and a few other titles that I could list. So, a little about me? I guess that's a lot about me. I am a lot of different things to a lot of different people depending on our experience together.
I am an advocate for victims and survivors of the trauma of domestic violence and abuse. I am a secondary victim of this violence. I have written a book that defines domestic violence and it's varied components and offers help to those affected by it. I have collected and gently edited stories from victims/survivors of this abuse. It is called, "Bigger Than Me."
I have also written an awareness and prevention performance piece for the purpose of helping shelters and University Women's Centers generate awareness regarding domestic violence. It is a shortened version of "Bigger Than Me." I believe that as victims tell their stories, they are empowered by hearing their own words. "Bigger Than Me: The Telling" is available for groups that are seeking a way to generate awareness and teach regarding domestic violence prevention. It has been written so as to allow mothers/fathers and their 14+ aged daughters and sons to view it and begin a vital and valuable conversation about domestic violence. It is also available on Amazon.
I hope that after visiting here and learning about who I am and what I do, you will be able to add the title of "friend" to this list. I am a friend.
